So. Since the response we got from Postal Matter was close to nothing, I'm thinking of taking another approach to it. I like the idea behind this project too much to just abandon it. So I'm taking a lest costly and hopefully more effective road now. This time I'm going to be creating individual postcards- each with a different portrait on them, and sending them out one at a time to random addresses. They will each be an invitation to create a similar postcard and mail it back. I think this will work better than the envelope packages we had put together before, although we won't be able to include the cool stickers we made up. Ah well.... Anyone want some? I've got plenty to go around. I'm excited to get started. I'll be posting the portraits as I go, most likely on the Postcard Portraits Blog but a few exceptional ones may find their way over here.
